How did we get started?

A little bit about our company.

NEVERFLAME is the brainchild of engineer and battery expert Murray Ruben. He began developing the concept for NEVERFLAME 8 years ago when he became a Sierra Club outings leader and realized the implications that severe droughts have on the environment. During the drought season, it was inconvenient as well as unsafe for campers to go on outings. Many people use illegal cooking sources during this time, and the risk of starting a wildfire is high.

Looking back on his past 60 years of experience in the battery industry, Murray developed a family of safe, renewable, and powerful portable flameless cooking solutions that are legal to use during drought seasons.

In the process, Murray discovered many additional applications for these portable, convenient, powerful and safe appliances ranging from baby formula preparation to on-the-go meals to many, many other forms of outdoors survival and recreational activities.

Murray also discovered that their amazing cooking performance is competitive with most kitchen appliances, and their easily adjusted ability to automatically perform three step preset cooking profiles is a great time saver in your kitchen as well. The battery fully recharges in 1.5 hours, making it possible to use our appliances for multiple home meal preparations on a daily basis for over 2 years!
